Ministry Profiles
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY- The children's ministry is a teaching ministry that
provides Spiritual training, which will build the foundation for a child in
establishing a meaningful, Christ centered life. It is designed to bring
children into the knowledge of Jesus Christ and lead them into salvation,
baptism in the Holy Spirit and allow them to experience the power of God. It
also provides activities of a social nature, such as visiting museums, zoos,
amusement park, etc. in order to provide an environment for fun and fellowship.
This ministry serves all children from newborns to age 10.
CHOIRS- Faith Center Ministries has four choirs: Voices of Faith (youth/young
adult members) which sings once a month; Voices of Praise (young adult/adult
members) which sings twice a month in our late morning services; Voices of
Koinonia (adult choir) which sings twice a month in our early morning services;
and Angelic Praise Children's Choir, which sings once a month. These choirs
deliver the gospel through song. They expect souls to be saved, people healed,
and Spirits uplifted by the words and music. The choirs help to set the tone of
a service. Members are expected to display a Christian attitude at all times and
they are expected to represent God and Faith Center Ministries where ever they
go!
DANCE MINISTRY- The purpose of the praise dance ministry is to provide a
visual representation of God's Word. While hearing the Word plants the seed of
faith in the mind of the hearer, doing the Word (dancing the Word) causes
fruition. When we can visualize the nature and character of God, we can better
understand Him and worship him. To minister effectively, the minister must allow
the Holy Spirit to be the choreographer. The minister of the dance must be both
anointed and competent.
DRAMA MINISTRY- The mission of the drama is to change lives by ministering to
people through skits and plays. The plays or skits may be humorous or serious,
but they always carry the message of Salvation. The drama ministry has the
opportunity to minister throughout the year on occasions such as Christmas or
Resurrection Day. This is a powerful ministry that captures the attention of
many. FAMILY AND FRIENDS PROGRAM- This is a voluntary program that gives members
the opportunity to formally invite family and friends to attend the church
services on a particular day. Formal invitations are sent out to each family or
friend. The intent of the ministry is also for church growth whereby, if one's
family or friends are not members of other churches, they have the opportunity
to join Faith Center Ministries.
MARRIED COUPLE'S FELLOWSHIP- Couples Fellowship at Faith Center Ministries
has three chief priorities. As God established marriage as His first and most
important institution, that automatically puts it on Satan's number one agenda.
So, our first priority is to educate and strengthen the marriages that our
Father has seen fit to bring to Faith Center Ministries. This is done through
education on communication, sex, money matters and issues that couples face in
their ever day walk with the Lord. The Second priority is the training up of
Saints. Matthew wrote in verse 13 we are the salt of the earth, and so many of
us have the opportunity to witness to those in our environment on how to have a
Christ centered marriage, not only through our words, but our lifestyle as well.
This brings us to the instruction part of our ministry. We are instructing
couples on how to deal with their peers in the workplace and other social
environments. The final and most important part of our ministry is realizing
that many people may not feel led to come to a traditional church service, due
to some convoluted beliefs or perhaps some challenges they may have faced in
their history. We have the opportunity to show them the "Side door"
into a Christian life. Through our outreach programs the average couple can
possibly invite someone who does not attend church, may not be saved, or may not
have a revelation of who God really is.
MEN'S MINISTRY- This ministry is the vehicle for uniting all men of the
church as well as ministering to men that are in the community. The focus is to
help the men grow together as a spiritual body. The activity of fellowship is a
key component to establishing trust amongst the men; thereby making the growing
process easier. Through this ministry, members also have the opportunity to
reach out to lost souls through different events such as sports, church services
and fellowship breakfasts.
PRAYER MINISTRY- The prayer ministry is a powerful ministry that intercedes
on behalf of Faith Center Ministries. Members of this ministry keep the church,
the Pastor and family, leadership and church body affairs covered in prayer.
They also intercede before and during worship services. Prayer shut-ins, prayer
seminars and training sessions are organized by this ministry.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - This program is sponsored by the Christian Education
Department. The scholarship program was created in order to empower young people
with the knowledge, tools and funding to pursue their education experience and
vocational careers. The scholarship consists of the following areas: producing
an annual awards banquet or showcase event; disseminating information by
publishing a scholarship and grants newsletter; researching and obtain
government funding; researching and obtain private corporate funding;
establishing a program to accept applications, evaluate and award recipients;
and provide for information and training empowerment seminars.
SIGN LANGUAGE MINISTRY- The purpose of the sign language ministry is to
translate and communicate the spoken word through American Sign Language to
members and guest who are unable to hear. Members of this ministry communicate
through sign language at both services and during praise songs, and at the
Beverly Manor Convalescent Care Center.
SINGLES MINISTRY - This ministry has been created for those who are unmarried
and over the age of 25 years old. Members are able to fellowship together in a
supportive atmosphere. Members share experiences and thoughts regarding the
Christian single life. Through this ministry, members gain the knowledge
necessary in order to live a fulfilling and Holy life. Activities include
attending conferences, reading books and discussions about what is means to be
holy, happy and single.
SPORTS MINISTRY- Provides evangelistic opportunities using sports and
recreation to reach those who are not saved and those who do not attend church
regularly. This ministry uses mature Christians to demonstrate how to compete
with a Christ-like attitude, in a highly competitive atmosphere. Members have an
opportunity to participate in several sporting events and activities, have fun
and minister to others at the same time.
TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY- The transportation ministry provides rides to church
services for those in need. This ministry also provides transportation to Faith
Center sponsored events. Members of this ministry are responsible for
maintaining and storing the transportation vehicles. Drivers are trained, for
safe operation of the vans.

Faith Center Ministries to take hold of the message of Salvation and use the
power of the Holy Spirit to become strong women of God in the areas of faith,
family, marriage and finance. All Faith Center Ministries women are members of
Women Fellowship, which meets once a month. Every woman is challenged to pursue
a relationship with God through faith and action.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY- The mission of this ministry is to provide activities
to meet the spiritual and social needs of members and friends of Faith Center
Ministries. The young adults meet once a month to fellowship with either a Bible
study session discussing issues relevant to the young adults, or a social
activity of that is of interest to them. The young adults also have an
opportunity to minister to the needs of others twice a year. These activities
may include preparing and taking food to homeless people in the Los Angeles area
or having toy and food drives, visiting convalescent homes, etc.
YOUTH MINISTRY- The mission of the Youth Ministry is to empower young people
ages 11-18, to develop and to discover their God given abilities, creating a
spiritual foundation that will prepare them for a life of success in leadership.
The vision is to integrate Biblical principles with socio-economic education,
utilizing technology as an effective tool in facilitating the process to:
inform, equip and educate young people of Biblical principles and the applied
applications with emphasis on creating leadership skills and to encourage young
people to make spiritually based choices that will bring God's gifts to fruition
as they make decisions as world leaders.
